One thing I’ve always said about George W. Bush’s United States: There may be a lot of cronyism, but at least nowadays the cronies "look like America."

We saw it with Harriet Miers. We saw it with Alberto Gonzales.

Now, the Washington Post reports that women and minorities are well represented among the ranks of a new generation of lobbyists.

It really does warm the heart.
