Public education: where even the idealists are in it for the wrong reasons.
From Eduwonk guest blogger Alice in Eduland:
"I don’t teach because I love
to do it or because I think I am especially good at it. I teach because
I believe in social justice and I believe that education is the most
effective form of social justice work that there is."
God help us all.

Idealists ruin society.
Not only disturbing but pathetic.
social justice makes me queasy.
Could someone please define “social justice” for me. And where on any application for a teacher in this country do you have to check off the social justice block. We have too many teachers committed to thier own personal warped ideas of educating the children. It should scare the hell out of anyone with school age children that you have teachers more committed to “social justice” than the three R’s. Personnally, I handle the “social justice” instruction at home.
