Celebrity Auction and Free Screenings Highlight Prostate Cancer Awareness Campaign

WASHINGTON, DC - Encouraging men to turn over a new leaf this fall when it comes to taking care of their health, celebrities like Woody Allen, Bernie Mac and Donald Trump are joining the National Prostate Cancer Coalition (NPCC) to celebrate ProcktoberFest - to raise awareness about the second leading cause of male cancer death in America.

Grolsch Premium Lager, EBay and host of celebrities join NPCC for a “Pop Top” auction of originally hand painted Grolsch bottles by celebrities to start on EBay on Oct. 7. The list of celebrities includes: Donald Trump, Woody Allen, Bernie Mac, Morgan Freeman, Bridget Fonda, Carson Daly, Jason Lee, Lil’ Kim and many more.

Now, far be it from me to disparage the importance of screening for prostate cancer. But why does every disease need a gimmick? Are we going to start celebrating V-D Day in May?
